The Atlanta Braves announced on Wednesday that they have traded left-handed reliever Adam McCreery to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations. McCreery was designated for assignment on Monday to make room for Josh Donaldson on the 40-man roster.

McCreery was a surprise addition to the 40-man roster a year ago to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. He spent the bulk of the season at Double-A Mississippi where he put up a 3.83 ERA in 47 innings. There is no questioning his stuff as he averaged over 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings but struggled with command issues. McCreery walked 33 batters in those 47 innings at Double-A. He appeared in eight games at the Triple-A level and got in one game with the Braves allowing four hits and two runs in one inning of work.
