Braves one of several teams showing interest in Nathan Eovaldi
At this point in the offseason it could be said that the Braves have shown interest in everyone and they no doubt have checked in on a lot of players. This latest rumor from the Boston Globe’s Nick Cafardo lists them as one of nine teams showing interest in free agent right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.
Arizona Fall League Weekly Recap: Davidson Slugs Sixth Home Run
Braxton Davidson slugged a walk-off home run in the AFL Championship game for Peoria on Saturday but had to be helped off the field after he was injured rounding the bases. It was initially feared that Davidson had suffered a foot fracture but initial testing suggests he may have avoided significant damage. He will undergo more tests later in the week.

The deadline to protect Rule 5 eligible players is coming up on Tuesday so expect to see a flurry of 40-man roster activity around the league early this week. Minor League Ball has a list of several prospects for each team that are Rule 5 eligible and will either need to be placed on the 40-man roster or otherwise exposed in the Rule 5 Draft.
Rosenthal: Mets’ end game in a possible Syndergaard trade
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reports that if the Mets were to pursue a trade involving Noah Syndergaard that they would be looking for more than a package of prospects in return. The goal for the Mets would be to improve their roster now as well as in the future so they would seek some major league players in a potential return.
