Braves outfield prospect Izzy Wilson got off to a bit of a slow start in the Arizona Fall League but he appears to be finishing strong. Wilson showed off his power this week going 3-for-8 with a double and two home runs.

Awards week gets underway Monday night with the Rookie of the Year announcement. Atlanta’s Ronald Acuña Jr is a finalist for the NL award along with Nationals’ outfielder Juan Soto and Dodgers’ pitcher Walker Buehler. Shohei Ohtani, Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres are the finalists in the American League. The announcement will be made at 6 p.m. ET and can be seen on the MLB Network.
The MLB All-Stars picked up a 7-3 win over Japan on Sunday. Yadier Molina went 3-for-5 with a home run while Mitch Haniger and Whit Merrifield finished with two hits each. Ronald Acuña Jr went 1-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts in the game. Japan leads the series 2-1.
With the Mariners expected to retool their roster this offseason, trade interest in some of their key players is ramping up. James Paxton has reportedly drawn the attention of several teams including the Houston Astros.
Astros second baseman Jose Altuve told reporters on Sunday that he fully expects to be 100 percent healthy by the start of spring training. Altuve underwent surgery on his right knee after Houston was eliminated in the American League Championship Series by the Red Sox. Altuve is currently wearing a brace on his right knee but is already walking following surgery.
