Braves to hold Chop Fest at SunTrust Park January 27-28

The Atlanta Braves will host “Chop Fest” on January 27-28 at SunTrust Park and the Battery. Chop Fest is a fan festival celebrating the Braves and the upcoming 2018 season. Fans will be able to participate in a host of activities involving Braves players, coaches and alumni.

The festivities will kick off on Saturday at 10 a.m. with a Leadoff Chop Rally at The Battery Atlanta Plaza. Q-and-A sessions with Braves executives, players and alumni will be held at the Knoica Minolta Conference Center including a one-on-one conversation with general manager Alex Anthopoulos.

Fans will also be able to purchase tickets to obtain up to five autographs from up to five current Braves players, as well as one alumnus. Tickets are on sale now and are expected to go fast.

Children 14 and under will be able to obtain autographs for free with some Braves players at the SunTrust OnUp Experience inside The Battery. There will also be a variety of games and activities available throughout The Battery and SunTrust Park. Additionally, Fans of all ages will be able to participate in instructional clinics with Braves players, coaches and alumni inside SunTrust Park.

Fans will also be able to explore the brand new Omni Hotel which opened earlier this month. A display of baseball artifacts will be displayed at The Omni from the ten players whose numbers have been retired by the team.

Single-game tickets on sale

Single game tickets for the 2018 season go on sale Friday, January 26 with a special opportunity to pick up a four-game ticket pack through Chop Fest weekend only. The four-pack will be available Friday through Sunday at the SunTrust Park ticket windows or online at www.braves.com/4game.

Braves documentary released

Also on Friday, MLB Network will premiere a new documentary, Atlanta Rules, The Story of the 90’s Braves, showcasing the team’s historic run throughout the 90’s.

Mascot Reveal

The Braves will reveal their brand-new mascot on the Georgia Power Pavillion at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Braves Hall of Fame Induction Gala

The Braves Hall of Fame Induction Gala will take place on Saturday, January 27 at 7 p.m. at the Coca-Cola Roxy. This year’s inductees are former pitcher Tim Hudson and long-time broadcaster Joe Simpson. Tickets for the event are still available at can be purchased at www.braves.com/gala.
