As expected, the Atlanta Braves have activated Arodys Vizcaino from the 10-day disabled list. He will be in uniform and available when the Braves wrap up a three-game series against the Cubs this afternoon. To make room on the active roster, Atlanta optioned outfielder Lane Adams to Gwinnett.

Vizcaino is 3-2 on the season with a 2.38 ERA. He has appeared in 37 games and has 39 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched. He went on the disabled list right before the All-Star break due to a strained right index finger. He threw a scoreless inning of relief for Gwinnett on Monday in a rehab assignment.
Adams has appeared in 34 games and put up a .241/.267/.379 slash line in 29 at-bats.
