Guys....I know you are shocked....but yet another major outlet likes the Braves farm system.
While the Braves and Yankees have been considered throughout the offseason as the top 2 farm systems by nearly every publication, the Braves have been on the roll winning top honors in this purely subjective discussion. Do these rankings have any real bearing on what happens in the coming years? Absolutely not. That said, that so many talent evaluators and scouts think this much of the system means the Braves are doing something right.
Plus, it makes us fans of the minor leagues feel awesome.
Anyways, the good news kept rolling in today as MLB Pipeline announced its top farm systems today.
7 #Top100Prospects & more knocking on door. #Braves' 2017 #Top30Prospects list is & their system is @MLB's best: https://t.co/polD601vsO pic.twitter.com/QUnibxHHBw

Again, not a huge surprise given the trends we have seen this offseason, but this is certainly welcome news for Braves fans. With 7 prospects on their previously released top 100 prospects list with players like Max Fried and Ronald Acuna likely to be added sooner rather than later, the Braves have both the high-end talent and the depth to make it the best farm system both this year and possibly for quite a while.
The last major top 100 list (and possibly accompanying organizational farm system ranking) will be done by Fangraphs’ Eric Longenhagen. Given some of the statements he has made in his chats, there is likely more good news on the way as we go into the 2017 season.
