As the Braves await their fate, big decisions loom. They need a leader who can help them navigate the troubled waters while carefully restoring faith in the franchise. The revamped front office will be tasked with an incredible undertaking. Only once MLB commissioner Rob Manfred hands down the punishment can Atlanta effectively begin to shape its future.
Several Braves prospects have gotten off to hot starts in the Arizona Fall League. It was Austin Riley’s turn on Thursday going 3-for-5 with a long home run. Baseball America’s Josh Norris talked to Riley about how he has improved his approach at the plate.
“I’m gradually figuring out my swing and figuring out my approach against pitchers,” Riley said. “I think that played a big part in (his successful season).”
The Sporting News counted down the best baseball players who are 26 or younger in the league. Atlanta’s Julio Teheran checked in at No. 45 while Ender Inciarte made the list at No. 31.
