The Braves wrapped up their four-game series in the desert with a win.

Matt Wisler was in the minor leagues two days ago. On Thursday night, he tossed six no-hit innings before eventually surrendering a single in the 7th to Paul Goldschmidt. Wisler limited the damage in the 7th to just one run, though, as the Braves split their series in the desert with a 3-1 win.

Wisler looked strong early on as he mixed in his changeup regularly with his fastball. He ended the night with 8 IP, 2 hits, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. This has to be highly encouraging for the Braves and their young righty, and we can only hope a big final month of the season is coming.

Atlanta got on the board in the third on a Freddie Freeman RBI-single to right. Nick Markakis then grounded out to plate another run. In the sixth, Gordon Beckham doubled home Dansby Swanson to push the lead to 3-0.

Also, Dansby made this incredible play in the 3rd inning. He's pretty good.

Kid might just have a future in this league.

The Braves will continue their west coast road swing when they head up to San Francisco on Friday to take on the Giants. First pitch from AT&T Park will come at 10:15 p.m. ET. Get your pot of coffee hot now.
