It is difficult to escape the notion that Kyle Lewis could be a member of the Atlanta Braves organization by the end of Thursday night. The talented outfielder from Mercer has been linked to Atlanta by a number of prominent outlets in recent days, and ESPN's Keith Law is among that group.

Law released his final mock draft on Thursday morning, and while it is for insiders only ($), Lewis is the pick for the Braves at number three overall. There is, though, a contingency mentioned in that Atlanta could choose to spend less money on the third pick by selecting prep right-hander Ian Anderson in an attempt to clear bonus room to attract elite-tier talent with later picks at number 40 and number 44 overall.

In addition to his local appeal, Lewis brings significant talent to the table, as his bat speed looks to be elite and his arm talent on defense is also enticing. It remains to be seen what the Braves will do with their first pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, but more smoke continues to emanate from the fact that it could be Kyle Lewis.

Stay tuned.
