Game Thread 6/27: Braves vs. Indians

The Atlanta Braves kick off a three-game series on Monday night by hosting the Cleveland Indians

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Indians invade Turner Field Monday evening on a nine-game winning streak. So naturally, that means the Braves will probably get the sweep.

Atlanta is playing well as of late also, winners of eight of its last 11 contests. That places the Braves at 17-21 under interim manager Brian Snitker, who has done about as well as anyone could with this team.

In team-related news, the Braves designated Alexi Ogando for assignment and brought Mauricio Cabrera to the big leagues. Cabrera comes from Double-A Mississippi, and his fastball has been clocked as high as 103 miles per hour. The problem is that he doesn't usually know where it's going. His debut will be quite entertaining.

The pitching matchup tonight is John Gant against Trevor Bauer. Take to the game thread and follow along with tonight's action.
