The Atlanta Braves placed left-handed reliever Eric O'Flaherty on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a right knee strain, and have recalled Ryan Weber from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace him on the roster.
O'Flaherty is 1-3 with a 6.52 ERA in 27 games out of the bullpen this season, and was charged with three runs in two innings in his last outing on Saturday, in the Braves' loss to the Chicago Cubs.
Weber has thrown 9.2 innings over four appearances with the big club this season, and this marks the third time he has been recalled from Gwinnett in 2016. He has not had the same results with Atlanta this season as compared to last, as his 8.38 ERA does not compare favorably to the 4.76 ERA he produced in five starts at the end of 2015.
He does have a strong 2.81 ERA in Gwinnett over 13 games (four starts).
