Braves can't sweep Marlins again, fall 7-3 to Miami
The Braves played in front of a sellout crowd on Sunday (thanks to Tomahawk Chop aficionado Chris Stapleton), but the fans who showed up weren't able to celebrate a victory because the Braves finally lost a game to the Marlins this season. Julio Teheran threw 113 pitches, but they happened over only 5.1 innings of work, and his day ended when Derek Dietrich (who is hopefully okay after this scary moment) hit a no-doubter of a homer to put the Marlins ahead for good. Meanwhile, the Braves offense struggled mightily against Tom Koehler, who made it into the eighth inning and only gave up three hits and two runs on the day. That's a recipe for a loss.
It would take an "overwhelming" offer for Braves to trade Teheran
Sunday's game aside, Julio Teheran has been pitching pretty well this season, which means that his name has come up in trade rumors. However, GM John Coppolella told Ken Rosenthal that it would take an "overwhelming" offer for him to move Teheran, and he also stated that they're probably done trading players of Teheran's caliber for prospects and will be seeking major league talent in any future deals. Those were interesting comments, to say the least.
Chase d'Arnaud missed part of Saturday's game due to traffic accident
Did you know that, as of May 29th, the leader in batter fWAR for the Braves is Chase d'Arnaud? Yes, it's (amazingly) true, as he's currently leading the team with 0.7 fWAR, which should tell you all you need to know about the 2016 Braves. With that being said, his performance has been a positive revelation, so it was a bit of a bummer to hear that the man had gotten into a traffic accident before Saturday's game.
The accident occurred on his way to the stadium. The collision left D’Arnaud’s car with damages to his left rear bumper and left a dent near the front right side.
"My car is dinged up a little bit and the policeman came and we spoke to him for about 45 minutes," D’Arnaud said. "He had to get an idea of what happened. When you have to listen to both sides, it is troublesome sometimes to get exactly what happened."
After the accident, D’Arnaud was able to be active for the game. He had one at-bat and scored a run in the 7-2 victory.
Erick Aybar and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week
As bad as Chase d'Arnaud's Saturday afternoon was, it was nowhere near as bad as Erick Aybar's past week has been. He's been having an absolute devil of a time both on and off the field, and things culminated on Friday night when he got beaned on the foot, had to leave the game, and is now on the 15-day DL with a right foot contusion. It's been a horrific season for Aybar, and it's only getting worse and worse for the veteran shortstop.

Dodgers use ninth-inning rally to take down Mets
In the eighth inning of this game, Dave Roberts made a bullpen blunder by going to Adam Liberatore instead of Kenley Jansen to relieve a typically-excellent Clayton Kershaw. The decision came back to haunt Roberts, as the Mets were able to tie the game thanks to a Curtis Granderson triple. Fortunately for LA, Adrian Gonzalez and the Dodgers' bats were able to bail Roberts out, as Gonzalez hit a two-run single in the ninth to put the Dodgers ahead, and Jansen did eventually make the save to end the game. Go figure.
Yankees win despite being one-hit by Rays
Here's a video of Starlin Castro hitting a two-run homer off of Jake Odorizzi.
There you have it: You just saw the only hit that the Yankees collected in this game, and it was a big one. The Yankees were able to hold Tampa to just one run, and as a result, they ended up picking up the win despite only getting one hit on the day. It's the first time that the Yankees have won a game in this manner since July 10th, 1914.
