Mike Foltynewicz struggles, Braves fall to Mets 4-1

Mike Foltynewicz was greeted by three first inning home runs and lasted just 3 2/3 innings in his 2016 debut for the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta's bullpen did a nice job holding the Mets at bay but the offense wasn't able to get on track against Bartolo Colon who threw eight shutout innings to earn the win.

Braves make flurry of roster moves prior to Monday's game

The Atlanta Braves shook up their roster on Monday with a flurry of transactions prior to their series opener against the New York Mets. In addition to Mike Foltynewicz who started Monday's game, Atlanta also promoted Reid Brignac, Chase d'Arnaud and Matt Tuiasosopo. To make room on the roster, Atlanta designated outfielder Drew Stubbs for assignment and demoted pitcher John Gant along with infielder Jace Peterson.

Los Angeles Dodgers' Josh Ravin suspended 80 games for PEDs

Dodgers reliever Josh Ravin was hit with an 80-game suspension due to a positive test for a banned substance. Ravin is currently on the disabled list following a car crash during spring training. Ravin admitted his guilt in a statement saying that he had taken some supplements to help speed his recovery after a severe case of intestinal flu and strep throat caused him to drop 20 pounds. One of the supplements contained a banned substance and triggered the positive test.
