Garcia began the season as the Braves' third baseman but was later shifted to the outfield due to his defensive struggles. Garcia hit .260 with a homer and eight RBIs over the first 28 games of the season. He was sent to Gwinnett to get comfortable in left field. Garcia continued to perform at the plate while with Gwinnett batting .356 with four homers and 18 RBIs in 19 games.
Brignac played sparingly for the Braves since being promoted appearing in 13 games and was hitting just .207 in 29 at bats.
