The Atlanta Braves dropped their fourth straight game Thursday night with a 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Braves jumped out to an early lead but saw their bats once again fall silent late in a game that also featured a one hour and 17 minute rain delay.

Atlanta got on the board early as Tyler Flowers staked them to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with his second home run of the season. The Brewers struck back in the fourth tying the game on a two-run single by pitcher Wily Peralta.

Milwaukee pushed ahead in the fifth hit his ninth home run of the season to put the Brewers up 3-2. Nick Markakis pinch hit for Wisler in the sixth who was lifted after allowing six hits and three runs over six innings of work.

The Brewers added an insurance run in the seventh when Jonathan Villar took reliever Ian Krol deep to increase the lead to 4-2. Krol came back to strike out Scooter Gennett before the game was halted due to heavy rain. The delay lasted for over an hour and Chris Withrow struck out Keon Broxton to end the frame once play resumed.

The Brewers tacked on two more runs in the ninth off of reliever Hunter Cervenka on a triple by Hernan Perez. Milwaukee's bullpen held Atlanta in check limiting them to just one hit over the final three innings.

Peralta picks up the win after allowing two runs and seven hits over 5 1/3 innings. Atlanta managed to record eight hits in the game but were 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position. Ender Inciarte and Jeff Francoeur had two hits each for the Braves. Villar and Aaron Hill each recorded two hits for the Brewers.

With the loss, Atlanta suffers a three-game sweep to the Brewers and fall to 12-34 on the season and 2-20 at Turner Field. The Braves will open a three-game set against the Miami Marlins on Friday.
