Late last night, rumors of Ozzie Albies being promoted first came from his agent. However, with no team confirmation and the news coming at 2 AM from a strange source for such things, most folks who were awake were cautiously excited.
Be cautious no longer Braves fans, its now confirmed that Ozzie has been promoted to AAA. Despite being the youngest player at the level, Ozzie has slashed .369/.442/.512 on his quest to debut in the majors while he is still a teenager and the Braves felt they couldn't keep him down any longer.
As for his replacement in Mississippi, thats a little bit more of a surprise unless you have been following what has been happening with the Braves high-A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats

Both players have been among the best players in the minors this season, especially at the shortstop position. With the move, it allows both players to stay at shortstop and see if either player plays themselves out of the position while also challenging each player more. Given their results this year, it was clear that they were not exactly overmatched by their levels.
For Braves fans, this moves some of the more exciting players in the system much closer to playing in Atlanta and ushering in (hopefully) a brighter future.
