The worst kept secret of the week was finally confirmed by the Braves on Saturday night. Aaron Blair, a top-50 prospect acquired in the Shelby Miller deal with the Diamondbacks, will make his big league debut Sunday afternoon against the Mets.
RHP Aaron Blair (@A_Blair19) will make his Major League debut for the Braves on Sunday vs. Mets. LHP Matt Marksberry optioned to Gwinnett.

Blair, 23, made three starts with Gwinnett and went 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA, 22 strikeouts and five walks over 19 innings. His whiff rate saw a drastic jump with Gwinnett; he averaged a little better than six-strikeouts-per-nine innings across AA and AAA last season with the Diamondbacks affiliates. We're dealing with a small sample size, but it was pretty clear Blair was ready for the promotion.

First pitch against the Mets will come at 1:35pm ET on Sunday afternoon.
