Braves place Beckham on the DL, call up Weber
The Braves placed Gordon Beckham on the disabled list on Monday and replaced him on the roster with pitcher Ryan Weber. Beckham suffered a strained hamstring in Saturday's win over the Marlins. Weber will serve as the team's long reliever and will add some depth to a bullpen that has seen a lot of action of late.

Teheran to face Dodgers' Wood, Wisler bumped to Thursday
Matt Wisler made a rare relief appearance on Sunday and as a result, the Atlanta Braves will juggle their starting rotation against the Dodgers. Julio Teheran will get the start in the series opener on Tuesday opposite of former Braves pitcher Alex Wood. Williams Perez will go on Wednesday with Wisler opposing Clayton Kershaw on Thursday.

The Liberty Braves Group’s Series A shares (symbol BATRA) opened at $36 Monday morning, plummeted quickly and closed at $19.95 — down 44.6 percent from the opening price. The Liberty Braves Group’s Series C shares (symbol BATRK) opened at $27 and closed at $19.14, down 29.1 percent.

Jose Miguel Fernandez to hold open showcase
Cuban free agent Jose Miguel Fernandez will hold an open showcase on May 3rd and 4th for Major League clubs.
Fernandez is a second baseman and is believed to be able to "help a major league team quickly" with his ability to get on-base. In his eight seasons in Cuba -- over 608 games -- Fernandez has had a .408 OBP. However, over his last four season only, it has been a remarkable .457 in just over 1000 plate appearances.
