When news of Hector Olivera's arrest broke this morning, the Braves very clearly went in to damage control mode. First, they declined immediate comment on the arrest, but then very quickly made it clear that they would not stay quiet long.
#Braves plan to release a statement soon regarding reported arrest of OF Hector Olivera on domestic-abuse charges at team's D.C. hotel.— David O'Brien (@DOBrienAJC) April 13, 2016
Well, the team did not wait too long to make a statement on the arrest, which is certainly appropriate given the seriousness of the charges and the frenzy that fans have worked themselves in to over the arrest.

Short but sweet statement from the team as they await the results of the investigation. The team also recalled SS Daniel Castro from Gwinnett to fill the roster spot vacated by Hector Olivera as he was placed on administrative leave.
This also presumably means more playing time for Jeff Francoeur and Kelly Johnson going forward in Olivera's absence and the investigation continues.
