It has been an eventful day for the Atlanta Braves but they will try to put the distractions aside when they continue their four-game series against the Washington Nationals. Matt Wisler will be on the mound for the Braves to make his second start of the season. Wisler allowed seven hits and four runs over 6 2/3 innings in his first start against the Cardinals.
Stephen Strasburg was originally scheduled to start for the Nationals but was scratched due to an illness. Instead, Tanner Roark will make his second start of the season. He allowed nine hits and three earned runs in a 6-4 loss to the Marlins in his first appearance.
Mallex Smith is back in center field for the Braves on Wednesday with Kelly Johnson starting in place of Hector Olivera in left. Daniel Castro was called up earlier on Wednesday but Erick Aybar and Jace Peterson will start at shortstop and second base for Atlanta.
