Happy Monday everyone.
It seems like it's been forever since the first episode of the Talking Chop podcast came out, but it's only been nine days. Fear not, in the future the gap between podcasts will only be seven days, as we are looking to record on Sunday afternoons and then post the final version of the podcast the same night.
You should always be able to get to the newest episode on our SoundCloud page and I'm also happy to announce that we are officially on the iTunes Store. I'm not sure how long it takes iTunes to update and add the newest episodes, but I do know that iTunes is an easy place for all of you to subscribe and keep up if you aren't used to SoundCloud or prefer third party apps for your audio needs. The goal is simply to make it as easy for you to listen as possible.
With that, we'll also be embedding every episode of the podcast right here on the website, so if you're one of those people who literally just uses the internet to read Talking Chop — shoutout to you — you will also be able to stay up to date with the podcast here.
We checked into all of the feedback that was left after the first episode and will be taking it all into consideration moving forward. If I haven't said it already, thank you for that. It's going to make the podcast better every week, and we'd love to get the readership as involved as possible in this process because you're the reason we are doing this. So keep asking questions, leaving comments and telling Ivan that he is wrong when he says Sean Newcomb is the best prospect in the system.
In this episode, Carlos and Brad welcome Ivan the Great onto the podcast for the first time. After talking about how pointless the Hank Aaron statue controversy seems, the discussion moves to the prospect rankings that were released this week, as well as Ivan's thoughts on analyzing players and the outlook of this year's team.
