The Winter Meetings are two days old and while much of the focus is on the Braves’ search for upgrades for it’s roster, teams are calling about some of Atlanta’s current players.
The Texas Rangers checked with the Braves about center fielder Ender Inciarte according to a report by the Dallas Morning News’ Evan Grant.
On CF hunt, heard Rangers checked with Atlanta on Ender Inciarte ... and that went nowhere.

Per the report, talks went nowhere and it would likely take Atlanta being blown away by an offer to part ways with Inciarte at this point. No mention of what the Rangers might have been willing to give up.
Inciarte got off to a slow start but was a catalyst at the top of the order in the second half slashing .341/.396/.440. He was the National League’s Gold Glove winner and was credited with 15 Defensive runs saved.
