One of the interesting things to watch this offseason will be how the Braves decide to handle their outfield situation for next season. Markakis’ late season surge likely improved his trade value but it may give the Braves some pause for the same reason.

MLB.com’s Mark Bowman writes in his weekly mail bag that while the Braves were disappointed in the progress shown by some of their young starters, they aren’t ready to give up on them just yet.
Braves pitcher Matt Marksberry was being treated for severe dehydration in an Orlando-area hospital Wednesday after going in for a procedure unrelated to baseball.
A Facebook post from his brother Wednesday afternoon said that Marksberry was on life support. Others familiar with the situation said Wednesday night that the pitcher was unconscious but not on life support and that his vital signs were stable.
