The Braves are not very good and they are not playing today, but that doesn't mean there aren't good and interesting things to talk about

The Braves have the day off after playing what can only be described as a terrible stretch of baseball. Since August 17th, the Braves have won exactly one game and after losing 2 out of 3 at home to one of the worst teams in the league, its safe to say that its been a little tough to watch as the rebuild goes in to full effect without any delusions or hopes of contention this year. Many of the discussions here at Talking Chop have centered about each poster's feelings about the direction the team is going. Some are really unhappy with the direction the team is going and/or how they are playing while others are willing to deal with the "growing pains" and are happy with the moves. Others are a little of both or somewhere in the middle. And there are some of you that post endless numbers of memes....we love you, too.

With that in mind, our friends over at Fivethirtyeight posted a great article discussing the happiest and saddest baseball fans based on data gleaned from Reddit. Its a really interesting read and the conclusions they come to are not what you would think in a lot of cases.

Also, today the ceremony for the laying of the first brick at SunTrust Park took place with several Braves luminaries from the past and present/future.

So on this off day, lets have a chat about our feelings (ok, maybe not ALL of our feelings). How happy are you with the Braves and the direction the franchise is going in? What would you do differently if anything? Are you excited about SunTrust Park opening in 2017? Is the new location going to make you more or less likely to attend games?

We at Talking Chop hope you are having a great off day and thanks again for all the support you have given us this season thus far.
