It's been a good week for the Atlanta Braves, as the team took a series from the Philadelphia Phillies, and on the eve of a weekend clash with the Washington Nationals, Braves Country is feeling good. This evening will, quite obviously, be focused on the Braves and Nationals in this particular online space, but before that game begins, we will try to make you a bit of money.
SB Nation and FanDuel continue to partner on daily fantasy baseball, and we regularly bring you "recommended" lineups. Results have been mixed, which shouldn't be surprising given the game, but there has been some success and a great deal of fun. Without further ado, let's take a look at our "optimal" lineup for Friday.
As usual, fading my picks may be your best option, so feel free to do that.
Note: This lineup would be used in a 7:10 pm ET contest.
P - Matt Harvey ($10,600)
C - Stephen Vogt ($3,800)
1B - Ike Davis ($2,200)
2B - Danny Espinosa ($2,300)
3B - Nolan Arenado ($4,300)
SS - Jose Ramirez ($2,300)
OF - Andre Ethier ($3,400)
OF - Matt Joyce ($2,400)
OF - Kole Calhoun ($3,300)
To be short and sweet, my favorite "stacks" on this night are Oakland A's left-handers and Colorado Rockies right-handers. That explains much of the lineup, but Andre Ethier against a right-handed pitcher (Eddie Butler) in Coors Field makes him probably my favorite single play of the evening. It is against "procedure" to recommend someone against the Braves, but Espinosa is cheap on FanDuel and against Eric Stults, anything is possible.
Oh, and that Matt Harvey guy is pretty good.
The slogan, as always, is to simply make money, and this lineup can (hopefully) help you get there. Let's do this together.
