Note: The original posted lineup for the Braves has been edited to reflect the change announced by the team, inserting Pedro Ciriaco at third base in place of Alberto Callaspo.
The Atlanta Braves begin a long trip to the West Coast on Memorial Day, and we will be here to take you through the action.
In the first game of a three-game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Fredi Gonzalez and company will send Williams Perez to the mound, and he will be opposed by Brett Anderson. From a skill standpoint, the pitching match-up doesn't appear to favor the Braves, but there were encouraging signs from Perez in his first start, and Anderson has proved to be hittable at times when, you know, he was actually healthy enough to pitch.
Regardless, the Braves face a tall task against the Dodgers on the road, even with Los Angeles deploying a lineup that does not include the injured Yasiel Puig. Los Angeles has a pair of early-season standouts in Adrian Gonzalez and Joc Pederson, and the Williams Perez show hits the road for the first time.
Hold on to your hats, everyone, and let's enjoy Memorial Day evening together.
