Game Thread 5/22: Braves vs. Brewers

New, 242 comments

The Braves have a shot at going over .500 tonight, and they'll have to clinch at least a split against the Brewers in this four-game series in order to do it.

So, last night was interesting, right? The most important part was that the Braves won (and won quite handily, in fact), and I think that we're all hoping for a repeat performance tonight.

The Braves will have to do it without Alex Wood, who was a late scratch for tonight's contest due to a stomach virus. Eric Stults will be his replacement, so adjust your expectations accordingly. Meanwhile, the Brewers will be sending Wily Peralta to the mound, and they'll probably be full of vinegar after last night's events.

So, here are the lineups:

Today's Lineups

Carlos Gomez - CF Jace Peterson - 2B
Khris Davis - LF Cameron Maybin - CF
Ryan Braun - RF Freddie Freeman - 1B
Aramis Ramirez - 3B Nick Markakis - RF
Jason Rogers - 1B Todd Cunningham - LF
Hector Gomez - 2B Alberto Callaspo - 3B
Martin Maldonado - C Andrelton Simmons - SS
Wily Peralta - RHP Christian Bethancourt - C
Luis Sardinas - SS Eric Stults - LHP

Here's some more info on Wily Peralta:
