The Atlanta Braves snapped a cold spell on Friday night, thanks to some clutch hitting from the one and only Todd Cunningham, and now, the team is back in action for a quick turnaround on Saturday afternoon. Game 2 of the series against the MIami Marlins occurs at 1:00 pm ET, and the game will be televised to a national audience on Fox Sports 1.
On paper, Saturday's game presents a relatively even pitching match-up. Alex Wood takes the ball for the Braves against Mat Latos for the Marlins, and while each has had rough outings this season (remember Latos getting shelled during the second game of the season?), both are quality arms. It would be encouraging to see Wood submit a dominant performance in a spacious ballpark, and that is something to watch for on Saturday afternoon.
The Braves could use some forward momentum, and securing back-to-back wins would be a good start. Let's enjoy this one together!
