-
Connor Lien, CF: 1-4, 1 R, 1 K
-
Johan Camargo, 3B: 1-4, 2 K
Despite making 4 errors, the Rafters were still able to beat the Javelinas 5-2. The game was tied at 2 going into the bottom of the sixth, when Blue Jays prospect Rowdy Tellez hit the deciding 3-run home run. After that, Peoria was only able to scrape together one base runner, who was wiped out on an inning-ending double play by the next batter.
Connor Lien had an up and down game, but was able to get another hit. His first at-bat led off a 1-2-3 second inning with a swinging strikeout. He came to bat again in the 4th and knocked a base hit up the middle. He then reached third base when the next batter hit an infield single and Rafters 2B Chris Bostick threw the ball away. Chad Wallach knocked him in when shortstop Jeff McNeil threw the ball away at second base on a force attempt, allowing all runners to reach safely. Lien's third at bat was a ground out to McNeil, and he ended his day in the 8th with a line drive to right fielder (and former Georgia Tech standout) Daniel Palka.
Meanwhile, Johan Camargo led the 3rd inning off with a single and then advanced to second base on a throwing error before being stranded by means of a fly out and ground out. His second at-bat was in that same 4th inning when Lien scored his run, but Camargo was unable to do anything with runners on first and 3rd, striking out swinging at a ball in the dirt. Camargo also struck out again in his third at-bat in the 6th. Camargo's last at bat was the 2nd out of the ninth: he lined out to Jeff McNeil.
