Joseph Odom and Daniel Winkler were in action Monday night and Odom's night was....errr....not great

Surprise Saguaros 6 vs. Peoria Javelinas 1

Box Score

  • Joseph Odom, C: 0-4, 3 K, 1 error (throw)
  • Daniel Winkler, RP: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
The Braves only had a couple players in action on Monday night as Peoria fell to Surprise 6-1. Joseph Odom, who was a bit of a surprise inclusion on the AFL roster, did not have a great night. He went 0-4 with three strikeouts and had an error in the field. He has now played in 3 AFL games and has one hit total (.083 average) which is probably not how he hoped to perform thus far. Daniel Winkler pitched an inning of relief in the game as well and he gave up an RBI double while striking out a batter. Winkler has appeared in 3 games as well and sports an ERA of 6.00 (2 earned runs in 3 innings pitched). Winkler is coming back from Tommy John surgery and while his stat line doesn't necessarily jump off the page, he has struck out 5 batters in 3 innings of work so it appears he is recovering nicely from what was ultimately a lost season for him.
