The Atlanta Braves open the final series of the regular season Friday night against Jason Heyward and the St. Louis Cardinals. There is nothing on the line for either team in this series although Atlanta could improve its draft standing with a few more losses if you are a fan of that sort of thing. The Cardinals already have the top seed in the National League wrapped up and hope to turn that into yet another World Series appearance.

The Braves will hand the ball to Julio Teheran on Friday who looks to wrap up his season on a good note after struggling early on. Teheran is 10-8 overall with a 4.16 ERA. He is 2-2 with a 3.68 ERA over his last seven games. The Cardinals will counter with Jaime Garcia who will be making his first start against Atlanta since 2014.
