The final series of the 2015 season gets underway Friday night at Turner Field as the Atlanta Braves open a three-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals. Both teams are just playing out the string at this point of the season. The Cardinals are headed to the playoffs again with the best record in the major leagues while the Braves have their eyes on the future.
Julio Teheran will make his final start of the season in Friday's series opener. Teheran struggled early on this season but has pitched much better of late posting a 3.68 ERA over his last seven starts. He will be opposed by St. Louis' Jaime Garcia who is 10-5 with a 2.36 ERA in 19 starts this season.
Shelby Miller looks to end a frustrating season on a good note Saturday when he tries to snap a 24-start winless streak. Miller's season has become the example for why wins is a terrible measurement for a pitcher's success. Miller has posted a 3.15 ERA in 32 starts this season but has just a 5-17 record to show for it. He will be opposed by John Lackey who has been a workhorse for the Cardinals this season.
Rookie Matt Wisler looks to continue his strong finish to the season on Sunday. Wisler is 2-1 with a 3.15 ERA in his last three starts. The Cardinals will counter with Lance Lynn who is 12-10 with a 3.06 ERA in 30 starts this season.
