Happy last day watching this lineup play in front of an empty Turner Field Day Braves fans!
So yeah this season hasn't been what any of us hoped. Good Lord, Emilio Bonifacio is batting leadoff. But still lets hopefully go out on a positive note tonight in the home finale. Gattis is back in the starting lineup which is cool. Hopefully he smashes a bomb just for old times sake. Though who am I kidding home runs are bad right? Thank goodness the team's home run total has declined 35 percent this season it would have been awful to keep hitting all those homers. Remember when you rely on the home run you don't win in the playoffs. Thankfully we have a team who finally stopped doing that and now plays the game the right way and is abysmal on offense. Congrats home runs are bad people. Y'all won. This is what you wanted. This is what it looks like. Here's to more seasons of doing things the right way.
Remember from 2013 to 2014 the Braves homers declined 35 percent, doubles 7 percent, and walks 14 percent.Guess what number went up though? Singles. The Braves have hit more singles this year. That is what matters. That is how you win games. Not by being selfish and hitting for power. Here is your lineup that hopefully isn't selfish enough to hit any home runs tonight.
