Gwinnett held the Tides scoreless, scoring only twice, but it was enough for the win. They were outhit 7-5, but the pitching left nine on base. It was a mix and match group headed by Terry Doyle who threw five scoreless allowing five hits. Chasen Shreve came on for the one-out save, striking out the lone batter he faced on three pitches. It would be preferred for him to be in the Atlanta 'pen. There was not much to note in the way off offense, but five hits would up being enough.

Mississippi scored two runs in the 8th to take the lead and didn't look back, scoring four runs on five hits. Kyle Kubitza reached three times and score twice, raising his OBP to .410. Kyle Wren scored one of the other runs, coming home after knocking his third triple of the season. Mitch Atkins threw six strong, only allowing two unearned runs while striking out four. In the continued line of standout M-Braves closers this year, John Cornely locked down his 5th save of the season in the 9th.

Lynchburg walked it of in the 9th as Joseph Odom singled in Tyler Tewell to take the 2-1 win. Tewell was the standout at the plate, recording three hits in four plate appearances, including his 11th double of the season. On the hill, Jarrett Miller got the start and went six innings, allowing the only run of the game. Mauricio Cabrera threw two scoreless, striking our a pair.

It took 11 innings, but Rome walked away on top after previously rallying back in the 8th. Connor Lien knocked in Sal Giardina with a sac fly in the final frame to walk off with a 6-5 win. Sean Godfrey capped off a huge week with his third home run of the season, driving in two runs in the 8th. The pitching was solid led by Chris Diaz who threw four hitless innings, allowing only one runner via walk, striking out six. His stuff by no means will blow you away, but the 21-year-old has taken care of business over his past couple of starts in low-A. Andy Otero threw the final three innings, taking home the win.

Danville couldn't complete the organizational sweep, allowing two runs in the bottom of the 9th to take a 5-4 loss. Jordan Edgerton set the tone on offense, going 2-4 with his 10th and 11th doubles of the season. Mike Dodig also had himself a multi-hit performance, singling twice. Andry Ubiera had an middle of the road performance, allowing two earned over six inning, allowing a home run in the first. Danville continues their series today against the Blue Jays.
