Jose Peraza steals home (and our hearts)

New, comments

Atlanta's top position prospect is kinda fast.

Stacy Revere

We all knew Jose Peraza was fast. After stealing 64 bases last year, Peraza has already notched another 40 steals this year. And did we mention that he can just flat hit? Peraza's currently sporting a ludicrous .345/.373/.459 line that includes *nine* triples.

Peraza was recently rewarded for his good work with a promotion to AA Mississippi. So how did he make his presence known to his new teammates? Try a steal of home. No squeeze here, Peraza took off for home on a routine throw-over to first base.

Minor league video isn't the best quality, but this should still give you an idea of just how crazy-fast he is. Plus you can enjoy Mississippi's stellar radio guy Kyle Tait on the call.

Talking Chop will release our Midseason Top 25 Prospect List during the All-Star break, and I think it's safe to say Peraza will be one of the biggest risers. One handsome Talking Chop writer even predicted this back in March.
