Attempting to avoid a sweep, Gavin Floyd will look to shut down the Cardinal offense

Jason O. Watson

Making his third start with the team, Gavin Floyd is being asked to be the stopper in the rotation. With the Braves reeling and having now lost two consecutive series, Floyd will be asked to win game three to avoid a sweep in St. Louis.

Opposing Floyd will be Jaime Garcia, the oft-injured left-hander. Garcia is usually pretty good when he is on the mound, the issue is that he is seldom on the hill. He gets a bit of help today as Dan Uggla, Gerald Laird, and Jordan Schafer are in the lineup for Atlanta.

Today's Lineups
