Gwinnett Braves - OFF DAY

Jacksonville Suns 1, Mississippi Braves 5

  • Elmer Reyes, SS: 2-4, HR(1), .383
  • Seth Loman, 1B: 1-4, HR(5), 2 RBI, .276
  • David Rohm, RF: 2-3, 3B, 2 RBI, .184
  • Kyle Kubitza, 3B: 2-4, 2 E(5,6), .221
  • Aaron Northcraft, SP: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, 3.24 ERA
The M-Braves were the only team in the organization to win yesterday, as they defeated the Suns 5-1. Elmer Reyes blasted his first homer of the year, while Seth Loman added his fifth on a two-run blast. The rest of the scoring came courtesy of a 2-RBI triple from David Rohm. Kyle Kubitza also added a multi-hit game, but committed a pair of errors in the field as well. Aaron Northcraft was stellar, allowing only 3 baserunners over 5 innings of work while striking out 6. It was Northcraft's best outing of the young season.

Lynchburg HIllcats - OFF DAY

Rome Braves 7, Asheville Tourists 12
  • AJ Kirby-Jones, DH: 1-4, HR(1), 2 RBI, BB, .250
  • Connor Oliver, CF: 1-5, HR(1), 3 RBI, .167
  • Eric Garcia, 2B: 2-5, .220
  • Bryan De La Rosa, C: 1-4, RBI, E(3), .140
  • Andry Ubiera, SP: 2.1 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 9.95 ERA
Oh my. Rome got a pair of homers tonight in a losing effort, one from Connor Oliver, and one from recently-signed DH AJ Kirby-Jones. Other than that, it wasn't a great day. Eric Garcia had a pair of singles, while Bryan De La Rosa had an RBI single and a throwing error. On the pitching side....oy. Andry Ubiera was torpedoed, giving up 7 runs while only notching 7 outs. That's...not good. The bullpen didn't fare much better, giving up 5 runs and 7 walks in 5.2 innings.
