Let's try this again. Once more, with feeling this time.

Mike Ehrmann

Lineup:

  1. Jordan Schafer - CF
  2. Justin Upton - RF
  3. Freddie Freeman - 1B
  4. Evan Gattis - LF
  5. Chris Johnson - 3B
  6. Gerald Laird - C
  7. Dan Uggla - 2B
  8. Andrelton Simmons - SS
  9. Freddy Garcia - P

Game One didn't go exactly as planned. Craig Kimbrel blew his 4th save of the season after being impeccable for about four months, so I think we can forgive him just this once. Braves can still win the next game, win the series, and clinch the NL East before leaving Washington. So let's all keep calm.

Tanner Roark

Scouting Report: For Tanner Roark, it really depends on the handedness of the hitter. Against LHH, he goes sinker/curve/change, but against RHH, it's just sinker/slider. Roark, however, does a solid job of locating, and he has been excellent at avoiding issuing free passes over the last few years.

Analysis: Roark's peripherals are excellent - 20% K rate and 6% BB rate to go along with being a groundball pitcher. Whether the league catches up to him is another question, but it's not an issue for this evening's game. Roark does a good job of throwing strikes and keeping the ball on the ground, and he's yet to allow a home run. Let's change that, shall we?
