All those Atlanta haters out there can eat their words. We now have proof that Atlanta Braves fans are not the slackidasical lot they are so often made out to be (normally by holier than thou Northern baseball fans). Thuuz, a new technology company tracking excitement in sports (featured in SI and CNBC), compiled a list of the Top 10 games of the postseason and the top series of the postseason.
Here are the top ten games of the Postseason. Please keep in mind that Thuuz uses a true 0 – 100 excitement scale, rather than a "padded curve" like our exam scores in high school. So, all of these games were absolutely outstanding; some were just more outstanding that others. Man, that American League is just dull. Even Yankees fans couldn't seem to get it up for their team. A lot of this likely has to do with the time of some of these games. The Braves played all of their weekday games at 7pm or later on the East Coast, instead of in the middle of the day on a work day. This allowed more people in the prime market to watch the games and take the time to get excited about the games.
Of course it could also be that the Braves are just an exciting team. Deal with it.
