The familiar rubber game of the three game set kicks off tonight. But this rubber game will have more subplots than a soap opera. Where to start:
- The Braves newly acquired speedster/power hitter/centerfielder/All-Star/all around great guy Nate McLouth will be in the lineup (hitting third no less)
- Chipper batting cleanup
- The Braves de facto ace, Jair Jurrjens, will face the Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano
- Everyone will be talking about Tom Glavine and the way in which the Braves parted ways with him
- Kris Medlen will be in the bullpen and may see action with the way Moylan, Soriano, and Gonzalez have been used the last couple of nights
- This will be the first time Jurrjens has ever faced the Cubs
- This will be Zambrano's third attempt at trying win career victory number 100
- Can the Braves and Cubs avoid a third straight extra innings game
I am really looking forward to tonight's game, I hope the Braves can reward my excitement with a win.
