The waiting continues for Ken Griffey Jr. to decide between the Atlanta Braves and the Seattle Mariners. After the Atlanta press reported earlier that Griffey had decided on the Braves, the Seattle press and the Mariners organization still have not heard from Griff:
As of 6 p.m. MST, the Mariners still have no idea if they are in the hunt for Ken Griffey Jr., their former All-Star and the man they hope will be their left fielder and/or DH this season.
Neither Griffey or his agent, Brian Goldberg apparently had told anyone in the Seattle front office or the local or national media if a decision one way or the other has been made.
Griffey has been trying to decide between competing offers (about $2 million plus incentives for one year) from Seattle and the Atlanta Braves.
Uh oh, east coast - west coast fued is a-brewin'.
