All right everyone you're stuck with me for the next week. My main goal here is to not blow the place up and keep as many people happy as possible.
The Braves come in two games behind the division leading Marlins and .5 game behind the hated Phillies and Mets. I am pretty confident in this series with us throwing Jurrjens, Huddy, and Smoltz. Plus our offense is much better than New York's.
The outlook for tonight's game looks especially good to me with Jurrjens (who is good) against Mike Pelfrey (who is not).
|2008 - Jair Jurrjens||2-2||3.20||1.27||21||9|
|2008 - Mike Pelfrey||2-0||3.18||1.53||9||6|
Pelfrey has a habit of walking a lot of people, so look for McCann and Frenchy to have some RBI opportunities early. The longer this season goes on the more i feel like the Mets really aren't as big a threat as the media wants us to believe they are. Their pitching seems too fragile and their offense is far from impressive. What do you guys think?
