The Braves open a series tonight at Washington. Here's the pitching matchup...

ATL: LHP Horacio Ramirez

  • 11-8, 4.45 ERA in 2005
  • 1-1, 3.48 ERA vs. WAS in 2005
WAS: RHP Esteban Loaiza
  • 10-10, 3.62 ERA in 2005
  • 0-1, 4.63 ERA vs. ATL in 2005
This is the first of a 10 game roadtrip that will take Atlanta from Washington to Philadelphia and then on to New York.

Thought this was a funny quote on the Braves web site by Brian McCann:

"Dude, that's going to go from like 10 people to that whole section being filled up. Everybody is going to be dressing like a hot dog around here." -- Brian McCann, commenting on "Francoeur's Franks" in the right-field stands, while miked up on FOX's Wednesday night Braves telecast's "Sounds of the Game" feature.

If you haven't seen these people yet, it's a pretty funny sight.
