Keith Law's updated top 25 prospects

Includes Teheran (11th) and Vizcaino (19th). Delgado gets mentioned at the bottom. And if you are wondering, Teheran is ranked behind Martin Perez, Aroldis Chapman, Jeremy Hellickson, and Casey Kelly among pitchers. So, as good as he is, he isn't the greatest pitching prospect in baseball...yet. UPDATE: This is insider only, sorry that I didn't mention that before if you weren't able to get to the link. Selected quotes below. 11. Julio Teheran, RHP, Atlanta. A big fastball, a plus change and an improved breaking ball have helped him dominate at two levels this year -- and it's not just being in pitcher-friendly Myrtle Beach. Six of the nine Colombians to reach the big leagues came from Cartagena -- as does Teheran. I'm still waiting for our first prospect from Macondo. Previous ranking: No. 63 19. Arodys Vizcaino, RHP, Atlanta. He's producing outstanding numbers so far with a plus fastball/above-average curve and a very low-effort delivery. Previous ranking: No. 43 and under the "Why Not Section" Randall Delgado? Total package doesn't have the big upside of Teheran, and he's not as polished as Vizcaino

Four Braves Make Prospect Hot Sheet!

Minor, Hoover, Teheran, Vizcaino. And 1 Brave has made the Prospect Sheet each week of the past 6 weeks. I like our pitching prospects! Now lets go draft some position players.

Top 25 Pitching Prospects in Baseball

From Scout.com and MILBInsider.com: 2. Neftali Feliz – RHP – Texas Rangers 7. Julio Teheran – RHP – Atlanta Braves When healthy, Teheran has an electric 93-95 mph fastball, a late breaking plus curveball and solid changeup. He will overthrow, losing command of his arsenal, and is prone to the big inning when the command wavers. Experience will be a huge benefit to him as he matures within the game and learns to overcome obstacles. 16. Arodys Vizcaino - RHP - Atlanta Braves The Braves acquired a potential future ace when they dealt right-hander Javier Vazquez to the Yankees last year, as Vizcaino has a world of potential in his right arm. With a fastball that sits comfortably at 92-93 mph and can reach 96, Vizcaino is already armed with one plus pitch. His best pitch, however, is a true hammer curveball that can be devastating and could be one of the best in all of baseball once he reaches his peak. 22. Zach Wheeler – RHP – San Francisco Giants Sorry to bring up our old pal Neftali. That's a satisfying ranking for Teheran. He's up with a bunch of AA guys and right behind the much ballyhooed Cuban Aroldis Chapman. I figured he and Vizcaino would be closer together since they have similar skills and a similar level. Wheeler was the Paulding County, Ga. guy the Braves supposedly really wanted in the draft, but the Giants snapped him up.
