Solid game last night. How wonderful is it to have a lefty out of the bullpen that can get lefties out. Ron Mahay was money in the fifth inning - that was huge. Wickman was also excellent in the ninth. I had all sorts of worries after we didn't score with the bases loaded and no outs in the top half of the inning, but Wickman did what he should do and shut the Phillies down.
Is it just me or does our team look like a bunch of gay lumberjacks sometimes?
Here's something they put up on the screen last night, Bob Wickman's home/road splits:
Split | W | L | ERA | G | SV | SVO | IP | H | R | ER | HR | HBP | BB | SO |
Home | 1 | 0 | 0.00 | 21 | 9 | 9 | 19.2 | 10 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 5 | 17 |
Away | 1 | 2 | 7.40 | 24 | 10 | 15 | 20.2 | 32 | 18 | 17 | 3 | 1 | 11 | 16 |
I can't say anything other than, "that's hard to figure." I wonder if it's a comfort level or the mound at the Ted. It's very weird.
Anyway, it's yet another 8pm ESPN game tonight. I warn you, MUTE the tele!
