Game Time: 7:35pm on and

As if we didn't see that coming from Mark Redman last night. He threw 54 pitches in one and two-thirds innings - what a boon to our rotation. I expect the Braves to release him post-haste.

Tonight, Chucky James will take the mound to try and salvage the series from the Phillies. We may be using Corky Miller at catcher as both McCann and Pena are questionable. I guess it makes sense to promote the guy hitting .220 with one homerun and no upside over the kid hitting .309 with six homeruns. Just do it! Add Salty to the 40-man and bring him up for a few games. You never know, it might actually increase his trade value.

Don't forget to get your picks in before the game for Nok-A-Homa-Win-A-Lotta (click here to learn how to play and to view the leaderboard); the three categories are (1) Attendance, (2) Pick to Click, and (3) Above and Beyond Pick.

If we lose, I will find a way to tie it to Redman.  I have no words left to describe how I feel.  I keep keep getting on here hoping for news that he has been canned; I can't fathom giving him another start.

Redman-other musings
I have started a Redman release clock, It will explode if he takes the mound again in a braves uniform.
I know Bobby realizes that every win is critical in this division, right now they have lost a least 3 games they should have won.  Cannot allow this to keep happening. Very obvious.

Gondeee, isn't there one guy in the minors who can give us 6 innings? Everyone talks about our minor league program.

I talked about giving others a chance the other day and they unloaded Langerhans and brought up Harris, ok today's pick is Salty and any pitcher who has not had Tommy John surgery!

My picks are

Bobby and John release Redman
Bobby and John release Wilson
I hope James goes 7

DL
saw Redman went on DL with a toe ailment.  Sounds like a made up injury to me just to say we don't know what to do with you so go sit on DL.

by jack dein on May 2, 2007 8:09 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

dude
I bet you've never had an ingrown toenail. Yes, you can do things with it but it constantly reminds you that it's there. If a frigging blister puts some guys on the shelf, an ingrown toenail is almost Purple Heart worthy.

(PS I think Redman is a flipping idiot for not having the 10 min outpatient procedure done before the season. As long as the thing isn't infected, it'd heal in the 4 days between starts.)

NAHWAL Results for Game
Attendance was 23,647, and with a guess of 23,444, crosby gets the point.

There were a lot of deserving candidates for the picks to click, but I'm going to give it to the four bullpen guys who threw one-hit ball for the last four innings, Paronto, Yates, Gonzo, and Soriano. Reluctantly I give crosby another point.

I would have given JDMaker1 a half a point, but he changed his pick... oh well.
