Game Time: 7:35pm on

Well, that wasn't a nice way to end the series, but at least we can say that we won the series. That's three series wins in a row to start the season, and I call that a solid start. Obviously though, we are seeing that our hitting is absolutely shut down by quality starting. If you can strike out the Braves, then you've got a good chance of winning. Every regular except for KJ struck out at least once, with four of them striking out twice. I'm not panicking about our hitting just yet, but we need to get the guys below the Mendoza line to step it up and be consistent.

John Smoltz was wildly effective until the eighth inning; though I think Bobby left him in there one inning too long and let him throw too many pitches (total Monday morning quarterbacking on my part). The scarier part of the pitching on the night was Macay McBride who once again walked the bases full...again. Poor Macay has nine walks in just two and a third innings pitched...humm, don't know how to react to that one.

Now we get a chance to face the Fish, who are a tough team. D-Train on the mound tonight, let's see if we can get to him early and keep winning series.

Don't forget to get your picks in before the game for Nok-A-Homa-Win-A-Lotta (click here to learn how to play); the three categories are (1) Attendance, (2) Pick to Click, and (3) Above and Beyond Pick.

Not here for the Lottery: Let's talk baseball
Hey,
I just started another Braves blog and looking for some Braves fans and fans from around the league to chime in and talk baseball. Help me get started. I'd like to stay in touch on this blog as well, so hopefully you'll see me around. Thanks, guys!

I've also started a new blog...
It's called I-want-to-advertise-my-lame-blog-on-talking-chop.com.

This blog is not an open thread for you to brag about your blog, it is an open thread to read the information that Martin works extra hard to put together, read it, criticize it, argue about it, beat him over the head with it, and then go out and start your own blog because you don't "agree" with what he says.

Personally, if you want to advertise, pay the freaking fee to get a banner at the top.  At least then, you'd be doing something to support THIS site and not your own LBB (that's Little Bitty Blog) since Martin likes acronyms that don't really mean anything (SYNAPS).

NAHWAL Results for game 10
Attendance was 33,212, and Phillip gets the point with a guess of 33,147.

No players of the game in the blowout loss.

Chipper hit a HR in the third inning and so SJsftb27 gets two points. JerBall also gets a point for correctly predicting the doom of Mark Redman.
