We're goin' for the sweep tonight with our ace John Smoltz on the mound. I'm guessing it will be good weather, but by saying that I've probably jinxed the weather already. Pretty much, I'm the anti-weatherman.

Last night's victory was a very encouraging win. Every regular in the lineup got at least one hit. The Jones boys each broke out with homeruns. Francoeur coaxed a walk! Chuck James continued his ridiculously simple approach to pitching. It was a very good win, and it assured us of winning our third consecutive series, and also puts us in great position for the sweep.

There was a new fan club at the park; The Langer Hands. They wore large foam hands with the words The Langer Hands written across the front. Not a bad fan club for Langy.

I also noticed something else while "listening" to the game on Fox; our new announcer Joe Sciambi sounds a lot like Joe Swanson, the wheel chaired neighbor of Peter Griffin on the Family Guy. Seriously, the next time he's on the tele take a listen and tell me if I'm wrong.

Don't forget to get your picks in before the game for Nok-A-Homa-Win-A-Lotta (click here to learn how to play); the three categories are (1) Attendance, (2) Pick to Click, and (3) Above and Beyond Pick.

NAHWAL Results for Game 9
Attendance was 23,897, and Phillip gets the point with a guess of 23,145.

There weren't really any players to get excited about, so I'm only going to give one pick to click to Tyler Yates for getting out of a bases loaded jam with a strikeout and a flyout. But, no one picked him.

JerBall got the AAB pick and gets a point.
