Some Blogs to Check Out (and possibly even add to your favorites)
Spring is the time when players sprout out of nowhere to make the team, but it is also a time when a lot of blogs sprout up around the blogosphere.
First up are some general blogs about baseball:
Baseball Musings - Perhaps the granddaddy of them all, his words of advice and his promotion of others has helped fledgling baseball bloggers reach bigger and broader audiences, including yours truly. He's conducting his annual pledge drive, so don't forget to support the independent blogger.
The Pastime - This is a newish one (for me at least) that I stumbled across recently, and while it is slanted a bit towards the A's, it offers some great insight and analysis about baseball in general.
The Hardball Times - It's not really a blog, but it's written by a bunch of bloggers. They have recently reinvigorated the site with an infusion of new writers. This site should be near the top of the list on your daily baseball reads.
Baseball Digest Daily - This is also more of a site than a blog, and it is also a place where I frequently write stories (so yes, this is a bit of a plug). But there are some great features here as well as some wonderful interviews - something not a lot of other sites offer.
Here are some other Braves blogs of note:
Baby Braves - Formerly an independent blog on blogspot, this blog is now a part of MVN, covering the Braves minor league system. Congrats to him on joining one of the big blog networks.
Babe On Baseball - This is a blog that has been up a short time, but so far has done a good job of capturing what a blog is all about. She does a great job of combining statistical analysis with her own comments and thoughts about the game.
Rain Delay - He is finally back posting after taking part of the winter off, and he hasn't skipped a beat. He offers his comments on a bunch of MSM stories as well as some original analysis. I particularly like the fact that this is a two team blog, it has the added dimension of being able to compare and contrast two different teams in opposite corners of the country.
Velcro Vernacular - This is another brand-spankin' new Braves blog, and it might just be my favorite (besides mine of course). This guy has a great take on many of the stories we read online or in the newspaper every day.
Keep up the great work everyone; it's going to be an exciting 2007 season.

I would like to add..
Even if you're not a Reds fan check out.
www.red-hot-mama.com - Commentary, Podcasts and an all around fun read.
www.jinaz-reds.blogspot.com/ - Commentary, Stats, and I love his Better Know A Red feature. I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate something like that into Rain Delay as well, without full on ripping him off. LOL
Of course from the Mariners side (the other team I cover.)
www.ussmariner.com - Hands down one of the best and most popular M's blogs around.
www.lookoutlanding.com - Another great M's blog with commentary, stats and more.
