i have never heard...

...anyone more apathetic towards the last day of their job, and going in with the "whatever" mentality like skip caray.

the voice of the braves longer than i've been alive, and he goes out with style. with a twinge of bitterness in his tone the whole game, albeit.

Skip and Pete rule!

Skip and Pete will both be on radio. Also on Peachtree TV, whatever that is. I just wish they would be on Sports South.

peachtree will be the local Atlanta TBS station...its going to change soon and will no longer be following the national TBS programming. It will also air Braves games (apparently they still do well in ratings in Atlanta, but not in the majority of the country...that's why they're taking the braves away from the national TBS broadcast).

im not sure but i doubt it. as i understand it, it will be a local station. So, it will prob be offered locally in atlanta, but no where else.

It's a broadcast channel in Atlanta

So if you get MyATLTV (used to be the WB) on your cable or satellite provider, you can probably get Peachtree TV.

actually, though Skip got if from a column in a New York paper... he told the the columnist's name, but I forgot it.

I thought Chip's little speech, and telling Skip he loves him, and then the amplified kiss, was just the sweetest thing ever...don't you guys agree? :)

I like Chip

but whenever he was doing a game with Joe and he said "My Dad this and My Dad that" it would kind of annoy me.

That made it all worth it. Seriously, that was an emotional game for me. Biggio, fine, but Skip was killin' me. I can't imagine what his last radio broadcast would be like.

Best part of Sunday's broadcast...

Was the inning where Skip had us listen in on Pete's radio broadcast. I've listened to Skip & Pete for 27 years, and there's something so comforting about their voices. I'm sad that the TBS era is ending, but I'm glad to live in the South. Hopefully they won't retire before they want to go.
